Can you see the Eiffel Tower from Les Invalides?

Yes, at a distance, and from several points on the site. The esplanade gives the widest view: the tower appears above the rooftops, to the west, a little over a kilometre away. The best angle is in fact slightly off site, from the Pont Alexandre-III and from the avenue de La Motte-Picquet.

Walking there

Allow about twenty minutes along the avenue de La Motte-Picquet and then the Champ-de-Mars, passing the École militaire — itself an 18th-century military building, and the one that closes the vista to the south-west. It is one of the best walks in the 7th, and it explains the geography of the quarter better than a map does: Les Invalides, the École militaire and the Champ-de-Mars form a single piece of military town planning.

Plenty of visitors do Les Invalides in the morning and the Eiffel Tower in the afternoon. It is doable, but tiring: the Army Museum already asks for two to four hours, as I explain on the how-long page.
